MANDELA PARTNERS
COMMUNITY FUND

Mandela Partners is reimagining the culinary industry. Our Culinary Employment Pathways program is a paid, hands-on culinary training program that connects residents facing barriers to employment – including those returning home from incarceration – to food jobs with a living wage, a supportive work environment, and personal growth opportunities.

We’re raising $20,000 so we can put more money directly in the pockets in the of folks who are learning culinary skills and starting new careers in the food sector!

In addition to receiving $21/hr. during training, program participants can access up to $600 from our Community Fund. These funds can been used directly for key needs folks have such as car repairs, medical or legal bills, and deposits for new housing arrangements. Every dollar you give will go directly to community members building new careers in the culinary industry!

Since starting up in 2020, our Culinary Employment Pathways program has:

  • Worked with 79 participants, 52% of who have returned home from incarceration

  • Provided $191,300 in wages

  • Distributed $XX,000 from our Community Fund to participants

  • Partnered with 30 East Bay food businesses for paid internship placement.

Thank you for supporting those in our community! Please share this fund with friends and family by sending them this link: [LINK]. Have questions or ideas about how we can get the word out (or are you interested in joining the program? Email team member Ray at ray@mandelapartners.org.
